Miss Garden Route and Klein Karoo 2009

The Gala evening for the crowning of Miss Garden Route & Klein Karoo was held on Saturday 26 September. This Prestigious event hosted by die Garden Route Casino in Mossel Bay took place at Pinacle Point next to the Garden Route Casino in Mossel Bay Paul Rothman an ex Mr. South Africa and Pasella presenter was the master of ceremonies. Top South African artists like Flip a Coin, Nadine and Gift Gwe impressed with their performances. Lalakoi wish to congratulate the Garden Route Casino on a superb event!

Louise Muller (18) from Mossel Bay was crowned Miss Garden Route & Klein Karoo 2009. Louise with her outgoing personality will be the "Face of the Garden Route for 2009" and also the ambassador for tourism in the region. The second runner up was Nathalie Graaff (23) from Mossel Bay and the first princess Jeandre de Villiers (19) from Oudtshoorn.

We want to congratulate Noluthando Mkhobeni on a successful year as Miss Garden Route and Klein Karoo 2008 and wish her all the luck for her future and all the other beauty contests where she plans to take part in. Lalakoi also wishes Louise Muller a successful year as Miss Garden Route and Klein Karoo 2009 and she can be assured that we will follow her beauty career.

The organizers of the competition also arranged a make over for the women from the four shelters – Creating Effective Families (Mossel Bay), Phambili (George), Malibongwe (Oudtshoorn) and Women who Care ( Knysna) who will benefit from this event. The make over winner is Annalise Arendse from CEF (Creating Effective Families)

PetroSA het nou ook hande gevat met die Mej Garden Route & Klein
Karoo-projek. Hier oorhandig Russel Mamabolo (PetroSA
Kommunikasiebestuurder en Bert Espach (waarnemende Operasionele
Bestuurder van die Raffinadery) 'n tjek van R10 000 aan Tryana Potgieter
van die Garden Route Casino en koordineerder van die projek.

NUWE ROLSPELERS VAT HANDE
Die soektog na Mej Garden Route & Klein Karoo is reeds stewig op dreef
en hoe meer rolspelers aan boord kan kom, hoe meer fondse raak
beskikbaar vir die bekamping van mishandeling teen vroue en kinders in
die Suid-Kaap gemeenskappe. Een van die bene van die projek is die
skenking van fondse aan skuilings in die Suid-Kaap.
PetroSA is een van die nuwe organisasies wat nou hul hand na die projek
uitgereik het. Hulle het verlede week 'n skenking van R10 000 kontant
gemaak, maar het hulself ook op verskeie ander maniere verbind. PetroSA
sal 'n kragopwekker beskikbaar stel wat op Saterdag 26 September, tydens
die gala-aand by die Pinnacle Point Gholfklub, gebruik kan word indien
daar enige kragonderbrekings is.


"Mike's Muvee Magic" doen die verfilmingwerk wat hy vooraf, sowel as
tydens die gala-aand sal doen. Die 12 finaliste sal die week voor die
kroning op verskeie uitstappies in die Suid-Kaap geneem word as deel van
hul voorbereiding om toerisme-ambassadeurs vir die streek te wees. Die
wenner sal ook as die "Gesig van Toerisme in die Suid-Kaap" bekend
staan. Na afloop van die kompetisie sal elke finalis ook 'n DVD ontvang
om hulle te herinner aan al die pret en plesier (en swoeg en sweet) wat
hulle ervaar het.

Tydens die ekskursies sal die finaliste deur Stanmar Motors se Mercedes
Benz asook deur Rory Goldhill van Cape Classis Executive Tours op
George, vervoer word.
