Malagas Hotel

Built in 1996, Malagas Hotel is a 45 - room "Old Cape", styled establishment, which provides elegant accommodation, well-prepared meals and old- fashioned hospitality.


Breede River Accommodation

The Malagas Hotel on the banks of the Breede River offers accommodation in 24 twin rooms (2x Single Beds), 17 family rooms (King-size bed, Single Bed & Day bed) and 4 large family rooms (King-size bed, 2 x Single Beds and Double sleeper couch), each with an en-suite bathroom. Their wooden beams and classic "rietdak" ceilings are a feature of the entire hotel, complimented by wonderful paintings by the owner's Mother.



Malagas Hotel Accommodation

Accommodation at the Malagas Hotel is available on a dinner, bed and breakfast basis. Their meals are best described as "South African Home Cooking" and are designed to be tasty, wholesome and include many favourite traditional dishes. A selection of South African wines is available to compliment your meal. Dinner is served as a 5 Course table d' hôte menu and a hearty full English Breakfast is available in the Mornings. Pub Lunches are served at our "Moxies Bar" & enclosed veranda or outside under shade or sun.


Malagas Conference Centre

The Malagas Hotel also has a fully equipped Conference Centre that facilitate up to 120 people. DVD Player, Flipcharts, overhead projector and VCR are included in the Conference Package for your use.


Activities on the Breede River near Swellendam
Activities and facilities at the Malagas Hotel on the Breede River near Swellendam includes the following: A restaurant, fully licensed bar, Trampoline, Swimming Pool, Volley Ball, Pool Table, Dart board, Canoes & Motor Boats to rent, River Cruises, Spitbraais or Potjiekos Competitions on request and conferencing and team building. The area is also well known for the whale watching and watersports on the Breede River. The hand drawn pontoon which started operating in 1860 is still going strong today and this is a major attraction in the area.
