The Plettenberg Bay Country Club


The Plettenberg Bay Country Club has an 18 hole golf course set in a private nature reserve. The highly rated course is a very popular tourist destination. The main attraction being the challenging layout built to USGA specifications and is rated in the TOP 50 in South Africa.Set in a nature reserve, the indigenous Flora attracts a large variety of bird life and small animals like antelope and bush pig, etc. The site has also become popular with the local bird-watching club and is home to a large colorful bird known as the Knysna Loerie (Taurco corythaix).


The clubhouse provides a great venue for all special functions and events big or small, such as: prize givings, birthdays, social gatherings, team building, conferences and many more corporate events, with the veranda overlooking the 18th green, offers the most beautiful vista. Lounge area and bar with a big screen TV.


The Plettenberg Bay Country Club also have TWO BOWLING GREENS at Plettenberg Bay Country Club which offer our members and guests an opportunity to not only experience the fun of bowling, but to master the skill to a point where you may be invited to play in the championships throughout the year. The bowling club boasts a very friendly crowd of bowlers who welcome visitors at their tabs-in days. The tabs-in days are always mixed, apart from championships and monthly competitions.


With the equable climate of the Southern Cape, the Plettenberg Bay Country Club tennis section plays host to a large number of visitors and holidaymakers throughout the year. The 4 TENNIS COURTS, a permanent tennis coach (for those that need to brush up on their game) and friendly members invite you to soak up the hospitality in the magnificent setting of the Country Club.
